Buying a Toyota Highlander was a mistake…
Recently I’ve bought a brand new Toyota Highlander from the official dealer. Well, this car seemed to be the live implemention of my dreams - a 4WD SUV able to host all my family… But that was only the beginning of the sufferings.
When you hit the official Highlander message board, it seems like you are in the car owner’s paradise. Positive mood - that’s the thing. Maybe I’m just one man who is so unlucky? The Highlander series seems to be one of the most succesful Toyota’s creations, both in the market terms and considering the owners’ reviews.
Before purchasing Toyota Highlander, I’ve watched a special Highlander movie, a sort of the semi-advertising trailer, and I was impressed. I’ve read a superb Toyota Highlander review and I liked it even more. When I had a 2005 Toyota Highlander test drive, I was astonished to the bits. Awesome car!
But what happened next is something I would never forget.
Toyota Highlander accessory parts is something you should look hard to find in the free market. I mean I had to wait for weeks for my Toyota Highlander accessory parts to arrive. And that was quite often as my Highlander obviously had a very bad habit of breaking down every week or two. I could understand that if i had a used Toyota Highlander, but my car was brand new!
Toyota Highlander repair manual became my favourite book lately. I’ve read almost everything Toyota Highlander part patterns and all the possible breakdowns, as well as all the recommendations to come to the service station every time it fails.
I did.
But weeks to wait before my dealer Toyota has set locally could give me my car back. Waiting for the part Toyota has to deliver from another continent.
I would never do that again. Thanks for that. Now I hate Toyota Highlander and all Toyota as a whole. Though I still like the Highlander series as a phenomena I would not own.
