Instead of Beginning

It was 19 years ago. I worked as an assistant of one very successful and rich Russian businessman by that time. This had been going on for more than ten years. Irregular working hours, frequent rush jobs, business trips, irregular meals, negotiations in restaurants with libations, multi-day simultaneous translations with minutes finalizing in different languages. All this was a great stress for the nervous system and brain. I used to smoke a lot back then. I can't say that I felt like a sick person – I was in a relatively young age, still (at that time 32). However, in childhood, I had health problems. These problems left me for a while. But by the age of 32 they began to worsen again. Add here frequent colds, overweight, physical inactivity, and rheumatism began to remind of itself again. In addition, I was still forbidden to engage in physical activity. I can't say that I felt like a sick person – I was in a relatively young age, still (at that time 32). However, in childhood, I had health problems. These problems left me for a while. But by the age of 32 they began to worsen again. Add here frequent colds, overweight, physical inactivity, and rheumatism began to remind of itself again. In addition, I was still forbidden to engage in physical activity. And at the same time, I was not specifically looking for anything to solve health problems. It's just that the doctors didn't provide anything new. They are associated in our minds with people who are the only ones who can give health advice. But their advice has always been like a temporary solution. Something like a decision until the next mandatory and obligatory required meeting.

Once my friend and classmate told me that there was a way by which one could rarely get sick and easily keep one’s body in working condition. He said that I could avoid the problems that older relatives toiled with. I had known him for a long time. I knew him as a very solid man – Gold medal in school, ‘Red’ Diploma of a prestigious university. So I began to study this issue. It should be noted that my body does not immediately respond to any impact on it. I need a period or various kinds of increased loads for it to react. It even manifests itself in a high pain barrier. For this reason, at first I used the recommendations of my friend, while studying the issue in parallel. Over the years, I have formed a certain pattern of behavior, a list of necessary actions, as a result of which all painful conditions are gone.

“At your age, gentleman, and with your physique we will definitely find in you a decent bouquet of diseases.”

A few years ago, I even deliberately underwent a medical examination. I just decided that since I paid taxes, then once every 20 years I could be examined by doctors. “At your age, gentleman, and with your physique…” the local therapist of my district clinic told me before the examination, “we will definitely find in you a decent bouquet of diseases.” And indeed, everything looked like an obese, at the age of 46, a man must have had a set of diseases. But after the examination the doctor's surprise knew no bounds. She did not find any deviations.

Now I am 51 and I feel the same 32 years old, full of energy, efficiency, I nurse my daily norm almost every day and swim 5000-8200 ft three times a week in the pool. Lost kinda 20 kilos within last 16 months.

It is very nice to be healthy, vigorous and active. It's even nicer when others see it. When instead of hospitals and clinics I do what I love and help relatives. And the most pleasant thing is when there is an opportunity to share experience with others, to help others.

I really want everyone who really wants it to be healthy.

Recovery stories inspire me the most. I will be sharing them on this blog from time to time. Unfortunately, not everyone uses my advice in practice. And everyone has their own explanation. Some do not have enough time. Others do not know how to approach the beginning. Some people need the support of loved ones.
