- Make tea in a tea-pot.
- Choose Earl Grey tea. It is a black tea flavored with oil of Bergamot – a fragrant citrus fruit – and named after the second Earl Grey in 1830. It is Her Majesty's favourite tea.
- Absolute boiling water must be poured over the top of the tea in the pot.
- It has to steep for five minutes! That is important. Take your time!
- Provide yourself with two types of sandwiches, scones and a small cake.
