The selection has been since 1975. The dog was bred by a Russian biologist K.T. Sulimov. The dog was not any newest breed or a designer breed. For the first time in the history of Cynology a dog was created prebreed norm of the species. It was obtained by hybridization and complex reproductive crossbreeding of a domestic dog and an ordinary jackal (subspecies Canis aureus moreoticus) with further aiming selection for working qualities: sensitivity and operation efficiency. Jackals as well as Arctic reindeer herding dogs were used in crossbreeds. The resulting breed consists of a quarter of the jackal's blood. Sulimov did not change the genetics of the dog as usual others did, but on the contrary, returned it to the norm of the species that was the same norm of the species as a wolf or a dingo or a jackal or other wild dogs. That is the core of the exclusivity of this breed and its superpowers. No thoroughbred dog can today be compared to this breed dog in its working qualities just like the capabilities of a wolf and a thoroughbred dog cannot be compared.hese dogs refer to a type of laikas.
