What is the difference between piezo mounts and traditional mounts?

Piezo stick-slip drive principle

The piezo stick-slip drive motor converts the linear motion of the piezo ceramic into the rotation of the screw through precise design and mechanical cooperation. In this design, the pliers on both ends of the piezo ceramic actuator are in contact with the screw, clamping the screw on both sides. Piezoceramic actuators rapidly expand and contract to achieve rotational motion.

Two piezo motors (ie, piezo screws) are integrated into the 2D deflection piezo mirror mount. Piezo screws can be integrated not only into mounts, but also into other motion platforms.

Vacuum version piezo screw

The E53.C4K series piezo controller is dedicated for piezo mirror mounts developed and designed by CoreMorrow for small-volume applications. It uses 24VDC power supply with small size, and can drive two 2D piezo mirror mounts by selector switch.
