How many times have you told yourself; I really need this, I really need that? C’mon, be honest. We’ve all done it, and dare I say it, we do it most of the time still. When in fact, we should/might say; I want that. . . . .
So, how do we know if we really need something or just simply want it?
It’s no more complicated than this:
1. Oxygen, we need to live.
2. Food, we need to live.
3. Shelter, we need to live.
4. Water, we need to live.
5. Clothes, we need to live.
6. Mobile phone, we need to live (in this new day and age – sorry to say (in my opinion)).
You’re kind of getting the gist now right? How about the wants then?
1. Those Gucci shoes, they’re a want – regardless of what your friends think!
2. The latest mobile phone, well, it’s a BIG want – irrespective of what you think 😉
3. That Saturday night pizza and soda drink – it’s a MASSIVE want.
Ok, look – we know when we say – you know what? I really need a night off and feel the need to crash out with a pizza and a drink. Does it sound familiar? Well, I’m not here to tell you anything you don’t already know. You’re a smart person. I’m just here to remind you of the difference between wants and needs.
A need is defined as a person’s basics requirement that must be met to survive.
A want is defined as things a person would like to have as part of his/her stuff.
Needs are limited. However, wants are not – they’re limitless – just ask your children, your husband, your wife))))
Do you NEED ENGLISH in your life, or do you WANT ENGLISH in your life?
SUCCESS IS GETTING WHAT YOU WANT. HAPPINESS IS WANTING WHAT YOU HAVE.
