HAVING A HARD TIME MEMORIZING WORDS?
You should definitely read this post carefully.
The main problem English students face is learning new words, but why? I keep getting such messages like "I don't know where to get new words from", "I forget the words I've just learned the next day", "I know some words but I can't use them", etc. If some of these statements exist in your head, then maybe you will never master your English. As I am your personal MotivatEd Coach, I'll try to help you.
First of all, we should separate the whole English-level-diagram into 2 parts. The first will be A1-A2, the second is B1-C2. Why have we done it? The approach to memorizing new words will NOT be similar for both groups.
GROUP 1 (A1-A2)
Brief Description:
- you just started learning
- you don't know many words
- you don't know much grammar
- you need simple words
Solution:
- translate words from your native language
- repeat them every day
- try to make examples with them all the time
- for some words you can find GOOGLE IMAGES
Recommendations:
If you are in this group, you should try to learn as many words as you can. Try to find the words that you really need. Find simple and short words that will be easy to memorize and remember. When you feel that you can speak a little bit and express your thoughts at a very very basic level. You may step into GROUP 2. That's all for now, we will talk about GROUP 2 in the next article.
THE TRANSLATED VERSION OF THE ARTICLE WILL BE ON IN SOME HOURS.
