Fast Fashion and its ecological impact

People always loved to dress in fashion. Fast fashion was developed to satisfy people's need in new fashion cloths. But the ecological impact of fast fashion is horrible. Apart from this fast fashion is a reason of social problems. Why and how did fast fashion became a big problem?

Fashion always changes, and so do people's thoughts. Something is classy since today and something will become unstylish tomorrow. People are used to throwing out non-fashion cloths and buy new ones. They don't know that companies use bad-quality materials and cheap labor to produce cloths. Cloths are made in factories, which leave carbon footprint. Resources that are used to produce fast fashion cloths are also not environmentally friendly. Fast fashion companies exploit workers. This is meant everything from child labor to forcing workers to handle dangerous chemicals and being grossly underpaid for long hours without a break. Everything is made to reduce the cost of cloths.

My own view is that fast fashion is bad, and we need to wear not what others will like, but what is loved by ourselves. This way fashion won't affect us as badly as it does now. As a result, we won't throw out cloths that we bought just a week ago. For example, I've been wearing the same hoody for years and it still hasn't been worn out. The reason for that is its quality. If we stop buying fast fashion cloths, we'll manage to help the environment and people that make cloths for us.
