I explain the meaning of unusual research and the fantastic possibilities of using it.

The main point of the project is to calculate the most effective landscape parameters to change the microclimate in an optimal direction. The basic method is to use the Universal Climate Optimisation Model, the main thing about which is the Orographic Barrier.

Just imagine even small artificial hills with optimally selected position, steepness, surface colour and other parameters can create a microclimate corresponding to the territories thousands of kilometres to the south or north. And it doesn't necessarily have to be real hills or mountains, it's quite enough to use temporary structures made of film.

You see, by adjusting the steepness, exposure, closedness and colour of the orographic barrier we can achieve the most effective heating or cooling of small areas.

In this way we can create small areas with climate very different from the existing one near every city. For cold countries, it will be islands of tropics, for hot countries it can be areas with a cooler microclimate.

And such climatic parks are easy and inexpensive to set up, and the demand to visit them will obviously outstrip the supply. It is quite unclear why there is still no such thing...

So, even if we use building materials and native rocks to create small areas with the climate of our dreams, it is quite affordable economically and all the more quickly recouped in the case of commercial use later on. But you can use temporary structures with film domes that simulate mountains and it will be even cheaper.

Try to imagine a water complex near you, perfectly imitating the tropical coast with emerald water in the lagoons and snow-white sand, and the air there is always a little warmer and the water is warmer than in the local reservoirs, although it's all under the open sky.

Of course, if you pick on it, the temperature there is unlikely to always be as high as in the tropics and in the winter if you usually have snow, it will probably be there too. However, in the center of the complex will always be windless, when the weather is clear it will always be warmer than in the neighborhood, and if the snow falls, it will lie there much less and melt earlier, as if it were a branch of the territory, which is thousand kilometers closer to the equator.

I think everyone will want to visit such a recreation complex, even if the entrance is paid. To create lagoons with emerald water and beaches with imitation coral sand is not so difficult, and how many will want to take selfies... it is easy to imagine. And that's just the look, and the climate, which will attract people who want to see the effectiveness of the climate barrier. As a business this is a gold mine and the point is not only to make money, but also to benefit mankind, to create aesthetics things, to create beauty.

In principle, even the height of the barrier already 2 meters changes the effective temperature and thus the universal method of climate optimization can be used on your own garden plot. Using the methodology calculations it is possible, for example, increase the temperature in a small pool by 10 degrees on a clear day by selecting the color, steepness and orientation of a small orographic barrier. We are now discussing areas that lack heat, but you can use the same principles to achieve the opposite effect, such as cooling of water and air in the dry tropics in the summer.

Only near the equator and near the poles the orographic barrier has almost no effect, in other places of the planet, especially in the dry sharply continental climate can work fantastic with the microclimate change.

Even the already existing open water parks, by adding orographic barrier along its perimeter, can extend the comfortable microclimate for a month or two a year, here we are talking about barrier heights from tens to hundreds of meters.

As I see it, the most popular are complexes several kilometers in diameter and several hundreds of meters high climatic barrier, probably about 3 kilometers in diameter and about 300 meters high. It is at this size that you can have a very strong effect on changes in the microclimate. It does not matter whether it will be a physically solid barrier like real mountains or only volumetric forms of thin film or a combination of both...

-4

For a better understanding, I will give examples of what kind of climate we would get with a size of 3 km in diameter and 300 meters high and with a focus on temperature rise. If you build it near Helsinki, we'll get the climate of central France; if you build it near Berlin, we'll get the climate of southern Spain; if you build it in the south-east of Canada, we'll get the climate of central USA; near Moscow we get the climate of Azov Sea. It should be noted that the microclimate will vary maximum in the warm season and on clear days or days with variable cloud cover. In the coldest period of the year and on cloudy days, the microclimate of complexes will differ little from the surrounding area, unless of course we will not add artificial heating or tighten the dome of the film...

More grandiose in size climate complexes, most likely, are possible only as part of major government programs and their feasibility is quite difficult to justify, as well as to work out an environmentally friendly plan. But in the case of implementation of such large complexes, not the microclimate, but the climate of large territories is changing, and the overcast days and the cold period will not be able to strongly influence the created climate. At barrier heights of two thousand meters it is already realistic to create an oasis with one climate zone inside another. At the current level of civilization development it will not be a problem to build mountains two kilometers high, but it is much easier and cheaper to use film domes filled with warm air of appropriate size, which just like real mountains will be able to block the path of air masses and cause the formation of orographic precipitation and the fen effect. At the same time, the inside of the domes can be used as greenhouses or an additional entertainment area with a tropical climate.

-5

It is almost impossible to calculate the exact changes in the microclimate at the moment, due to the lack of precedents, it is obvious that they will be, but for economic feasibility it is not so important, the main thing is to create a landscape as colorful and exotic as possible. If people in northern countries find a lake with a color very remotely resembling sea water, in the summer it is very crowded because of tourists. So, creating almost complete copies of tropical lagoons and snow-white shores with bungalows on the water in the Maldivian style, we can expect an uninterrupted flow of tourists, regardless of the cost of visiting. And if the climate is even slightly different, then such complexes will attract tourists from all over the country. In the case of commercial use, we can only hope to reduce the cost of visiting only if the competition develops, when the complexes with a changed microclimate and a piece of the tropical sea will be almost everywhere and the visitors will be able to choose where the air is the hottest or where there are more islands in the artificial reservoir. And complexes that are not good enough in all aspects will be forced to reduce the price, thereby provoking dumping in their field.

-6

Despite the fact that the construction of complexes will be made by a fairly clear methodology, the development of landscape diversity will require the introduction of an unusual type of profession, such as a creative cartographer or designer of large landscapes, when you need to come up with the most picturesque elements of relief, while taking into account the climatic specifics of the complex. And if before only science fiction writers drew the curves of the bays and reefs on the map of the invented island of treasures, soon such a creative specialty will become quite common, and in the future the authors will be able to see their landscape in reality.

And how soon the development of domestic tourism around the world goes in this direction depends on each of us, in particular to accelerate the development of methods and its implementation in practice, you can support the development of the project by clicking on the link below.
