As part of this project, I have to write about a language that is now in danger, I will do it. But the language I have chosen is a special case connecting to our topic. I will talk about a language called Yiddish. It is the language of the German Jews, and there are many German dialects in it. Yiddish is definitely an endangered language, quite a lot of people still speak it, and even more people speak this language every day. It's simple, during the Second World War, Germany was engaged in the genocide of Jews and therefore a lot of native speakers were killed. But fortunately society eventually did well enough, because after that the state of Israel was founded, where Jews from almost all over the world moved, and the population of the language began to grow again after a very large decline. Let's look at a couple of examples of words in Yiddish: 1) Iches (יחוס) - Special social status in Jewish society 2) Bagel (בייגל) - Bakery product in the shape of a donut 3) Purimshpil (פורי
