Project «360»

Volunteering is helping in some kind of activity for free. Everyone can take part in this program and help the nature. “360” is an environmental volunteer project which started in Eastern Siberia. It is one of the most massive eco-volunteer projects in Russia. The main purpose of this project is do the cleaning on the shores of Lake Baikal. This volunteering also named like “360 minutes for Baikal”. It started to exist in 2011 when 100 volunteers collected about 500 bags of rubbish. Thanks to the population the rubbish began to be removed all over the lake including it’s northern part. 2017 was named as the year of ecology and the “360 minutes” started to be the part of the official Russian events. That year the marathon was in 24 regions of the country and also in the state of Hawaii (USA). That time about 100,000 people took part in the events. 360 minutes, or six hours, is the time that people spend on weekends for relaxing and entertainment, and which can be used in other ways - for a useful, good things, for example, stuff collection.

From the beginning of the project about 144000 humans took part in it and collected 4500 tones of rubbish.
