Детективный роман норвежского писателя

Bat is a detective novel by the Norwegian writer Yu Nesbø, the first in a series about detective Harry Hall. Young Norwegian TV star Inger Holter was brutally murdered in Sydney. ⠀ Investigator Harry Hole is dispatched by Oslo police to help their Australian counterparts. ⠀ Together with the Australian police, he will have to go down to the city bottom, which seems to be inhabited not only by drug addicts and pimps, but also by terrible creatures from ancient aboriginal legends. The first acquaintance with the author was not very successful. I do not share the general enthusiasm. A lot of everything is mixed into the plot: homosexuals, alcoholics and drug addicts, indiscipline and high professionalism, aboriginal legends and exotic Australia. The strangest thing is that the author himself will spoil the plot twists as he can. This is the first time I've seen this. It is difficult to read a book when, at the very beginning, the author himself, consciously or not, laid out all the cards

Bat is a detective novel by the Norwegian writer Yu Nesbø, the first in a series about detective Harry Hall.

Young Norwegian TV star Inger Holter was brutally murdered in Sydney. ⠀

Investigator Harry Hole is dispatched by Oslo police to help their Australian counterparts. ⠀

Together with the Australian police, he will have to go down to the city bottom, which seems to be inhabited not only by drug addicts and pimps, but also by terrible creatures from ancient aboriginal legends.

It is difficult to read a book when, at the very beginning, the author himself, consciously or not, laid out all the cards on the table.

The situation is saved only by the multi-plot and more or less charismatic character. Again, for some reason, he reminds me of Bill Hodges Stephen King.

The book did not live up to expectations at all, but still there is something attractive in this mess. ⠀

Most likely I will give this episode a chance and read the second part.
