Let's see how exactly the DAO is designed and works in practice.
Mandates.
Every organization has its goals and objectives and DAO is no exception. The tasks that are assigned to the DAO are called mandates. Mandates: Developing the Harmony network, attracting new supporters and users, mobilizing community activism, creating and maintaining content to promote Harmony projects and infrastructure in general.
The direct execution of the mandates will be done by the Guardians
Guardians.
The DAO is community-driven and this is the basic principle on which it is built. However, what is important for any community is a structure in which each person assumes a role and understands his or her area of responsibility. In order to structure the community, the DAO chooses nine keepers by vote. Keepers are chosen for a period of three months. During the selection of keepers, absolutely every member of the community can nominate himself/herself by providing a small resume about himself/herself. The main task of the keepers is to organize the voting process and execute the decisions made. Each custodian has its own competence and area of responsibility to fulfill the mandates.
The custodians are also responsible for the DAO fund (Tregieri) - money that is spent to achieve the goals outlined in the mandates. It takes at least six out of nine custodian votes to spend treasure money. A multi-signature system was created for this purpose, in a blockchain wallet. Where the money from the treasure will be invested is decided, like everything else, by a vote.
Voting.
Only stakeholders have access to management and voting. Voting takes place in blockchain and is completely transparent. The first vote selected nine custodians to organize the subsequent DAO.
Community.
As you have already understood, the community is the main and only governing body and driving force in the DAO. As in any organization, all community members who have contributed to a common goal are fairly rewarded. The DAO is the kind of organizational structure that is ideal for people with ideas and commitment who are willing to contribute to a common cause. To attract and encourage these people, Harmony has announced a $300,000,000 grant program.
