As the number of networks and L2 solutions increases, the need for a fast and cheap way to transfer liquidity only grows. In the new year, there will be a trend to seamlessly connect all blockchains and L2s. Bridges that support as many networks as possible will benefit, giving the user an easy way to interact and exchange tokens in a single click.
It will also be possible to withdraw funds from centralized exchanges directly into L2. If CEX want to use an off-the-shelf product rather than develop their own, bridges that manage to integrate into as many exchanges as possible will be the leader.
To develop and deeply understand the topic of bridges, consider a real example. Recently, AnySwap raised $60k at $1.2k valuation (it turns out that the sale was at a discount from the market) and renamed itself Multichain. From this we draw the simple conclusion that bridge token can be worth a lot and be just as attractive to investors as ecosystem blockchains.
