Fast Fashion is a huge business producing a huge number of fairly cheap clothes. The main problem of fast fashion is the production of an excessive number of clothes. On average, the number reaches 20 T-shirts of the same model per person. This is very bad, but people continue to spend money to support the industry because the manufacturer lures people to buy fashionable clothes at a cheap price. Because of such production, fast fashion is in second place in terms of environmental pollution. This has a terrible effect on the nature of our planet. In addition, in order to reduce the cost of clothing, manufacturers open their factories in countries with a large population or low standard of living, such as Bangladesh and China. Everybody, even children, work at a factory, which is very dangerous because factories leave a lot of toxic waste. People get sick, but continue to work because they have no other choice.
As for my attitude towards fashion now ... I would say that now fashion has advanced and people's attitude towards fashion (at least in my country) has changed. 10 years ago, in my country, a person could be looked at with dislike or worse, beaten for wearing strange color combinations, for example, being too bright or paint their hair in non-standard colors. Now there is almost no such thing left and many people use fashion for self-expression or simply wear things that they like. I think this is a big plus. But over the course of this year, I've started to notice changes. Since we live in a consumer society, many people already have an addiction to buying something, even if they don't need it. This is how they sponsor the fast fashion. And also, research were carried out which showed that the fashion is cyclical and almost every 5 years it radically changes. For example, now, according to my observations, what was worn in the 70s is fashionable. Because of this, people become addicted to buy new clothes almost every year or more often. Even when they already have a bunch of things, they continue to give money to look like everyone else. And despite the fact that with the help of clothes you can express yourself, I still see that people are drawn to one style that is now in fashion. And when I see a bunch of people dressed in almost the same style, it looks unstylish. I also want to be a fancy lad, but I don't want to look like the most of the people, so most often I buy clothes in some kind of underground style which are produced only after payment for the clothes. I believe that the future belongs to such production. All clothing is produced only after the costumer has paid for it. This will reduce toxic waste and stop the spread of carbon footprint.
