At an early age, Medvedeva studied at the figure skating school at the Young Pioneers Stadium. Then she moved to CSKA, to the group of Lyubov Yakovleva, and after her departure - to the group of Elena Selivanova. In 2007, her mother decided to transfer her to the group of Eteri Tutberidze in Sambo-70. In 2011, Evgenia Medvedeva joined the Russian national team.
