The best construction profession after graduating from the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering

After graduation, many students are faced with the choice of their future path in the construction industry. To help them, and in particular myself, I conducted a research, the results of which I will describe below.

According to statistics, 90 percent of graduates find prestigious jobs, of which there are a great many. It is also worth noting that the former students who entered MGSU clearly did not lose, because the average salary in Russia is 44500 rubles, in Moscow - 67,000 rubles, while graduates of the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering have a salary of 72700 rubles.

First we need to decide is our degree of education. Because I conduct research for myself and my classmates, and we are specialists, then professions will be considered in this segment. These are :

1.Civil engineer

2.BIM manager

3. Design engineer

4.Plumber, Concrete, Glazier and other special trade workers.

My research bases on the salary factor because this factor is objective.

1. A civil engineer is a specialist who is engaged in the design, construction and repair of buildings and structures, bridges and roads, as well as planning, organizing and coordinating construction work. A civil engineer can work in a design organization or directly at a construction site. Even in the most remote corners of Russia, they receive from 50,000 to 150,000 rubles at the beginning of their career.

2. A BIM manager is a project manager - the process of building a building based on information modeling. The BIM manager creates a 3D model of the future structure, transfers all the main elements of the structure into it, checks it for consistency and eliminates errors and inaccuracies in the design. According to the most conservative estimates, the salary of these employees is from 125,000 rubles right after graduation from the institute. This is a very progressive prefession.

3. The vacancy of a Design Engineer may seem attractive, but in fact, employees of this specialty have the same salary as a sales consultant in a clothing store, that’s why we will not consider this profession

4.It is special trade workers, they are engaged in special areas of construction activity, so I put them in one item. Their salary varies from 80,000 to 150,000 rubles. These construction professions are very diverse.

Thus, a BIM manager is the most attractive profession for graduates. It is also important to remember that this research was conducted on the basis of general information and the conclusion of generalizing statistical indicators. I'm not forcing you to believe the results of my research, but I advise you to remember one thing: a design engineer has been studying for 6 years, and a cashier in the children's world shop has not studied a day as a cashier in the children's world shop.
