Vera Wang is an american fashion designer. First came up with the idea of creating her own dresses when she was going to marry. Vera didn't want to loor the same as many other women.
At the begining of her career she'd been working as the senior fashion editor in Vogue for 17 years, soon opened her fashion salon in New York hotel Carlyle, where people first saw weding dresses.
Wong has made wedding dresses for many famous personalities such as Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and many others. Michelle Obama also wore Wong evening wear.
She designed costumes for figure skaters, including for Nancy Kerrigan. Silver medalist Nancy Kerrigan wore a unique Vera Wong costume at the 1994 Olympics.
Wong expanded her brand with perfumes, jewelry, etc. In June 2005, she won the American Council of Fashion Designers' Womenswear Designer of the Year competition and was awarded the Sports Contribution Award as a costume designer.
