The Maldives is an all-year-round travel destination. Nonetheless, the best experience would be travelling to the archipelago from December to March.
How long to stay
Since the Maldives is a luxury destination, stays are quite expensive, especially travelling between islands. Therefore, a stay of 3 days to a week would be ideal depending on what activities in the Maldives you decide to do.
Getting to your resort

Once you’ve landed at the airport in Male, you will be greeted by representatives from your resort. You can either opt for a speed boat transfer for islands located close to Male, or you will have to take a seaplane ride to any island located further away. This is usually included in most Maldives resort packages.
What to pack
Keep in mind that since the islands are situated close to the equator, the daytime is very humid and warm. Therefore, light cotton clothing would be best. Also, don’t forget to throw in some long dresses, skirts, and trousers if you decide to go island hopping.
