The Grand Canyon National Park is one of the largest and most famous national parks in the world in the USA. It is located on the territory of a huge canyon formed by the Colorado River more than 5 million years ago. The Grand Canyon in the USA got its name not by chance, because it really is the largest canyon on the planet, but it is not the deepest in the world. Its length is 446 kilometers, width from 6 to 29 km, and the maximum depth reaches 1857 meters.
Geographically, the Grand Canyon is located east of the city of Las Vegas and is clearly visible on the map of the United States with the naked eye. From year to year, it is of particular interest to all travelers who have seen it many times in American films and in stunning photos, as well as heard exciting stories from acquaintances.
Due to its immense size and stunning panoramic views, the Grand Canyon Park has become extremely popular (especially during the summer holidays and holidays) with both Native Americans and tourists from all over the world traveling to the western part of the States.
Conventionally, the territory is divided into the northern and southern parts, delimited by the Colorado River. The north and south of the park differ markedly in climate, landscape and flora.
