American soldiers and burned Panzer V Panther in Saint-Fronmont

American soldiers of the US Army inspect the burnt German Panzer V Panther medium tank of the Nazi Panzerwaffe.
On July 11, 1944, a German tank unit attacked the American bridgehead at Saint-Fremond. The
Panzer V Panther tank was destroyed by a direct hit from the M10 tank destroyer. All the German tankmen were killed.
In total, in this battle, the Germans lost 10 tanks of the
Panzer V Panther and 12 medium Panzer IV tanks.
