There are more outstanding persons in heavy music world, but today I want to tell you about one man, who helps the metal music sounds faster, angrier and more various. Meet Dave Mustaine.
He had a tough childhood, because his parents were in divorce, when he was 4 years old. His father chased his family, so they moved out very often. When he was 8 years old, his mother bought him a guitar, so he started to learn how to play. When Dave was 14, he and his mother moved to his elder sister, Suzanne. Dave annoyed her and her husband, so one day Suzanne just broke the guitar on Dave’s head. It helped Dave to make right choice. He started to rent a flat by himself, earning money by selling drugs.
In 1981 he noticed an ad in the newspaper, that unknown band Metallica was searching for the guitarist. And they took him in the band. Dave taught James Hatfield how to play the guitar, because they lacked one guitarist. They did their debut album «Kill ‘Em All» together, and then other members of Metallica kicked Dave out of band because of his behavior and alcoholism. And then Dave Mustaine decided to revenge and surpass them.
After his was fired, Dave created his own band called Megadeth. He competed with guys from Metallica. He wanted to create faster, heavier and angrier music then Metallica had. So he released the album «Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good!» in 1985. The name of the album speaks for itself. It was a great success, so Megadeth continued to create music. And it was truly great music, because he was always trying to beat Metallica. Then there was a lot of money and fame, alcohol and drugs, and many gorgeous albums and music. But it couldn't last forever.
In 2002, when Dave was in rehab once again, he hurt his arm and couldn’t use his wrist no more. So he dissolved Megadeth. After that terrible situation, he hits into religion and quit drugs forever. He was trying to do it for 17 times and finally he did it. It’s one of the reasons why I think he is an outstanding person. Also because of his art and his influence in world of music.
