My name is Lyaman and I'd like to tell you about the Paralimpians. Paralympic athletes are people with disabilities, although they do sports.And they win the competition.
Jessica Long is one such athlete. She was born in Russia. Jessica is an American Paralympic swimmer. She has participated in the world championships many times. World record holder among athletes without legs.
Long entered the arena in Greece for the first time. There she won gold medals in swimming. Then she was only 12 years old. So she became the youngest member of the Paralympic team in the United States.
When she was 14 she won gold medals. Set 5 world records.
Many people admire the Paralimpians. Because despire their characteristics,they continue to do what they like. Perseverance helps them in everything.I was glad to write about these wonderful people.
