You do not need to give up, even in cases when fate initially gave out not the happiest ticket. Among such motivators is swimmer Andrey Nikolaev.

He became a champion twice at the first Paralympics for himself, in Tokyo.

Andrey was born on September 6, 2000 year in Bashkiria. He has been swimming since he was 5 years old.

Andrey was ill and walked badly. His mother Nadezhda Vasilyevna Nikolaeva did not even think about her son's international victories. She thought that sports would help her sick son just walk well. Swimming is really considered one of the best ways t develop physical activity. Swimming allows you to adjust motor functions. And Andrey's swimming was delayed after a meeting with coach Fanilme Kiraev. The coach saw the potential in the boy. Since then, Andrey began to swim not just for health, but to achieve indicators. The fulfillment of the tasks set by the mentor brought him pleasure. He won his first medal on August 25, swimming in the 100-meter freestyle with the second result.

On August 31, Andrey started the 400-meters, the swimmer swam the crown distance in 4 minutes 25, 16 seconds and became the Paralympic Games in swimming in the S8 category. Andrey received the second gold medal in the 4 by 100 meters relay.
