Lyubov Ivanovna Vasilyeva was born on May 24, 1967. She lives with her family in Tyumen. She is a Paralympic champion in the cross-country skiing relay. She is the winner of a silver medal in the biathlon pursuit among visually impaired athletes. She is an honored master of sports. She won 9 medals, including 3 gold medals during her Paralympic career. She represented Russia at the Paralympic Games in 2006 and 2010. Since childhood, she was surrounded by sports - she skied, ran and danced with healthy children. No matter how hard it was, she always wanted to be the first. For 12 years, she was brought up in a specialized boarding school. In the fifth grade, Lyuba began to have problems with her eyesight. But that didn't stop her. The physical education teacher sent her to various sports competitions. And she won prizes. It was only in 2003 that she got to ski training camps for the first time. In addition to sports, Lyubov also excels in art - she drew very well.
