The crew is leaving the burning American Lexington aircraft carrier

The crew leaves the burning and tilted American aircraft carrier Lexington (CV-2) after attacks by Japanese carrier aviation on May 8, 1942 in the Coral Sea. The Lexington aircraft carrier was later flooded with USS Phelps (DD-360) destroyer torpedoes.
