This will make the laptops even more attractive to photographers and videographers.
Insider Luke Miani has shared new details about the upcoming MacBook Pro models, which may get the latest ARM chip M1X. According to him, the laptops will surprise not only with the highest performance, but also the appearance of support for UHS-II memory cards.
The UHS-II format offers a marked increase in speed, reaching up to 312MB/s versus the usual 100MB/s. These cards are commonly used in photo and video equipment, as well as a number of other professional devices. Backwards compatibility will allow any less fast memory cards to be used with the Apple Notebook as well.
The source also noted the appearance of the backlit Touch ID fingerprint scanner in the MacBook Pro. He doesn't know the details, but suggests we're just talking about "a few dedicated LEDs" that will allow the sensor to stand out.
Finally, Miani reports that the new MacBook Pro may be limited to 32GB of RAM in the max version. And this somewhat contradicts earlier rumors from Bloomberg, which said 64 GB. The current Mac M1s are limited to 16GB of RAM.
New MacBook Pro models are expected to be introduced in the third quarter of 2021. Versions with 14-inch and 16-inch screens are expected. They are attributed a completely new design and mini-LED panels.
