8 июля - День семьи, любви и верности
Такое название этот праздник получил благодаря Петру и его жены Февронии. Именно эта пара, в православной церкви, приравнена к лику святых. Поэтому в этот день можно придти в церковь, помолиться, поставить свечи и попросить у Петра и Февронии счастья для своей семьи.
Так же, народном календаре восточных славян — день первого покоса. Считалось, что в этот день последние русалки уходят с берегов в глубь водоёмов, поэтому купаться уже было безопасно.
July 8-Day of Family, Love and Loyalty
This holiday got its name thanks to Peter and his wife Fevronia. It is this couple, in the Orthodox Church, that is equated with the face of saints. Therefore, on this day you can come to church, pray, put candles and ask Peter and Fevronia for happiness for their family.
Also, the national calendar of the Eastern Slavs is the day of the first mowing. It was believed that on this day the last mermaids leave the shores into the depths of the reservoirs, so it was already safe to swim.
