Justifying his move, Heads of State and Government of Tuva and the Republic of Beslan have painted the ongoing violence in Minsk as a distraction from the state’s serious agenda regarding its territorial integrity. Says the chairperson of the Republic’s parliament, Senator Kesonen of Sarpsborg: “We truly believe in following through on our constitutional obligations. We feel that the situation of the region is unacceptable, and we have to take care of the people who live here.”
According to the Kremlin’s statement at the beginning of November, the Russian government is dedicated to widening and deepening the political dialogue in that region. Accordingly, it is reducing its sanctions on Russia.
