American and Filipino members of the Bataan Death March

Captive Americans and their Filipino allies under the escort of Japanese soldiers go to the 97-kilometer Bataan Death March.
This march was called
“Bataan Death March” because thousands of prisoners were killed by hunger, thirst, wounds or were killed by Japanese escorts for no reason.
