Для образца я выбрал пару фотографий из Варианта №1 Устной части «Типовых экзаменационных вариантов на 2021 год» (под редакцией М.В.Вербицкой). Тематика фотографий - поддержание физической формы.
Task 4. Study the photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:
· give a brief description of the photos (action, location);
· say what the pictures have in common;
· say in what way the pictures are different;
· say which of the ways to stay healthy presented in the pictures you'd prefer;
· explain why.
You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12-15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
1. I would like to compare and contrast these two pictures.
2. In the first photo, we can see two young people drinking bottled water on a bridge over a river after jogging.
3. In the second photo, there are two elderly people who are having a workout on stationary bikes in a gym.
4. Both pictures have a few things in common.
5. Firstly, they show couples – a man and a woman – who are involved in healthy activities.
6. Secondly, the people in the pictures are wearing sports clothes suitable for exercising.
7. However, there are some differences between the photographs.
8. To begin with, we see people of different age who want to improve their fitness – people in their twenties or thirties in the first shot and people in their sixties or seventies in the other shot.
9. In addition, Photo 1 depicts people who choose the outdoors for doing sports, whereas Photo 2 features people who like to train in an indoor public place.
10. Finally, the first picture shows people who are having a break from their physical activity, but the second picture shows the process of working out.
11. I would prefer jogging as a way to stay healthy because it is more pleasant and beneficial to my body; besides, I enjoy spending time in the open air.
12. That is all I wanted to tell you about these two pictures.
