I have been to many museums, but most of all I remember the Abramtsevo Museum.
The museum is located on the riverside of the Vori River. In 1843, the writer S. T. Aksakov owned Abramtsevo. Gogol and Turgenev visited this estate.
In 1870 Abramtsevo was bought by S. I. Mamontov.
V. D. Polenov, V. M. Vasnetsov, I. E. Repin, I. S. Ostroukhov, V. A. Serov, K. A. Korovin, M. V. Nesterov, M. A. Vrubel and other artists, musicians, actors visited this estate also.
There are more than 25 thousands exhibits: painting, graphics, sculpture, works of decorative and applied and folk art, as well as photographs of the previous owners of the estate. Аnd also including the works of those artists who visited this estate!
Looking at paintings by famous artists, you feel this atmosphere of the 19th and 20th centuries, when artists painted in nature and enjoyed their work.
There are Polenov`s paintings too:
The furniture is made in the style of antiquity.
If you want to visit some ancient place, I advise you to visit the Abramtsevo Museum and enjoy the atmosphere in it!
