The Internet plays a significant role in the modern world. However, some people consider it to be the biggest time-waster ever invented, whereas others find it time-saving. As for me, I support the second point of view. To begin with, Internet-based services allow people to save time and effort every day when they do such vital activities as studies, work or domestic chores. They can communicate with their teachers and colleagues from home or buy things and pay bills online. In addition, the Internet is a major source of home entertainment with a wide choice of e-books, music tracks and films. Today, a person does not have to attend libraries, concert halls and cinemas to have a good time. Nevertheless, there are people who think differently. In their opinion, the Internet distracts users’ attention from important things in their lives: they surf the web pointlessly, watch countless videos, play silly games or chat online for hours instead of spending time on something useful.
