Correspondents of the Soviet Krasnaya Zvezda (Red Star ) newspaper Zakhar Khatzrevin (of Jewish origin) and Boris Lapin are interrogating a German defector from the Wehrmacht.
Both Red Star newspaper correspondents died while trying to break out of the Kiev encirclement on September 19, 1941.
