One of the orders of the commandant from the German occupation administration of the city of Uritsk on the prohibition of cannibalism among the Russian civilian population. These documents were taken from the pockets of the murdered German soldier, they read:
“The excavation of human corpses and their consumption as food is punishable by death. The Commandant of Uritsk city”.
