One of the most visited national parks, which was created to preserve the unique natural complex of the Valdai Upland. The park covers an area of 159 thousand hectares; on its territory there is the famous Lake Seliger, as well as Valdayskoye, Borovno and others.
The park is inhabited by about 50 species of mammals, 180 species of birds, about 40-45 species of fish. Here you can see elk, wild boar, brown bear, wolf. The park is inhabited by a white hare, a squirrel, a fox, a badger and other animals.
Excursions in the park, hiking trails, ecological paths are organized for tourists. On the territory there are recreational areas equipped for recreation, where you can camp with a tent (for a fee). In addition, you can stay in a hotel or in guest houses.
