Hello friends! This is a poem about a woman who inspires me. about my mother. I think she'll like it. Rate it!
Till I sat down to write here, I only thought of my mom as my only womxn-influence who guided me to spread my wings flying, coming out of a cocoon. But there have been innumerable ones who have shaped me the way I am today.
My sister, even after living miles away we have been there for each other like shadows to each other in sunshine and breeze in moonlight. I may have never told her of how much she has made my eyes misty- seeing her start her own small business to support her family, studying for two degrees at the same time, training to become an incredible tutor, managing her personal troubles on her own, taking firm and practical decisions, exploring herself and her talents, and most of all-handling me in all times.
My friends, who have had my back in my short tempers, who have read my poems and pushed me up in need. Again, I presume of my turned-to-inexpressive self that I haven’t yet confessed them of my pride of their talent, balancing academics and passion (and seeing most of them educating themselves in what they see as their future), stunning everyone with their talent, growing in circumstances I couldn’t imagine myself in. You all have given me hope that I can better myself.
