The bombing of 300 and 400 kg of bombs was allowed only from a horizontal flight, because the Yak-9B did not meet the 1943 durability standards for dive bombers.
Aimed bombing from the Yak-9B could be made from a horizontal flight, at the conclusion of a gentle dive and from a dive at angles of up to 45 degrees. With the appropriate training of the flight crew in the bombing on the withdrawal from the dive, it was possible to achieve targets with a size of up to 50 m.
