Nowadays, Internet-based activities, including shopping online, play a significant role in people’s life. Some find making purchases on the web better than going to a shopping centre, whereas others still prefer regular shopping.
As for me, I share the first opinion. To begin with, you do not have to leave home when you buy things via the Internet, which is convenient and time-saving. In addition, Internet stores work on a 24/7 basis, therefore, you can do shopping whenever you want without haste. Finally, such stores usually have a wider choice of goods, and you are more likely to find products to suit your needs and budget.
However, there are people who have a different point of view. They are convinced that it is safer to buy a thing after you look at it with your own eyes and touch it with your own hands in a traditional mall. What is more, while shopping online, you may face the risk of losing money because of technical failures or fraudsters’ criminal actions.
I cannot agree with the opponents’ statements. As a rule, reputable Internet stores provide detailed information on every item they have on sale so that customers can be sure about what they purchase. Besides, these stores as well as banks have advanced security systems that minimize the risks of errors and fraud.
To sum up, I would like to say that despite its possible disadvantages, shopping online is generally better than ordinary shopping due to saving time, effort and money.
