- Altai Mountains are the most amazing place on our planet, where nature is still untouched and keeps the secrets of ancient civilizations. Katunsky reserve is located right here.
- It was formed on the 25 of July in 1991, in 1998 it was added to the UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage List.
- It's area is 1501 square kilometers.
- Almost the entire territory of the reserve is located in the high-mountainous part of the Katunsky ridge, right here, among the glaciers, that many Siberian rivers originate. There are also more than a hundred lakes here
- The flora is represented by more than 700 plant species, 20 of which are listed in the Red Book. In addition, there are more than 50 species of mammals in the reserve, including the snow leopard, as well as more than 160 species of birds.
- The excursion routes are available for tourists.
