Poland – an ally of Hitler and the initiator of the Second World War in Europe. Polish cavalry occupied Czech town of Karviná in the Zaluzha operations as a result of Munich Agreement.

Czechoslovak Karviná city was the center of heavy industry of Czechoslovakia, coking coal, one of the most important coal mining centers of the Ostrava-Karviná coalfield. Thanks to the Polish operation Zaluzha former Czechoslovak enterprises by the end of 1938 gave the Poles almost 41% of the iron smelted in Poland, and almost 47% of the steel.
