Draco Malfoy is considered an anti-hero in the Harry Potter universe, and possibly a villain. But despite this, he is a very tragic character.
Draco Malfoy
In every well-told story, not only the heroes are important, but also the villains. Those who will stand up against the heroes and make their life as difficult as possible - either by challenging them or putting various obstacles in their path. In the world of Harry Potter, one of his enemies is none other than Draco Malfoy
For a moment, it looks like Draco and Harry could be good friends, but Draco quickly spoils that impression. And all the time they are studying at Hogwarts, there is a rivalry between them. Despite the fact that Draco acts as an antagonist, there are many sad moments in his life that cause sympathy. Draco Malfoy was at times an unpleasant person, and at times simply unbearable. But that doesn't change the fact that he wasn't the killer.
In a way, Draco respected Dumbledore and enjoyed studying at Hogwarts. Which means he didn't want to kill Dumbledore. But unfortunately, Vol-de-Mort did not give him any other choice, he treated Draco as a pawn that is only capable of following orders or being punished. Not only did Draco have to kill Dumbledore, which was contrary to his nature, he was also to become a Death Eater.
Judging from the fact that we know about Draco, if he had a choice, he might not have made it into the ranks of the Death Eaters, if only for the simple reason that he was cowardly. But he did it anyway to protect his parents from Vol-de-Mort and thus save them and himself. Oddly enough, Draco did not always hate Harry. Actually, he wanted to befriend him when they first met at Hogwarts.
Unfortunately, Draco showed his worst features and grinned at Ron, which prompted Harry to abandon this friendship. It's a shame, because the two could very well have become good friends if Draco had been more restrained in his actions. Unlike Harry, who has two close friends, Ron and Hermione, Draco seems lonely. Yes, two dunce Crabbe and Goyle are always spinning next to him, but from their relationship it becomes clear that these are henchmen rather than real friends.
Even Pansy Parkinson, the girl who seemed to have a crush on Draco, actually had no connection with him. In general, Draco was lonely, which partly explained his behavior towards Harry and his friends.
