The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood- is an Orthodox memorial Church of the Resurrection of Christ; erected in memory of the fact that on this place on March 1, 1881, as a result of an attempt on his life, Emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded. The temple was built with donations collected by the whole country.
Speaking about architecture,the temple looks like a fairytale tower with twisted columns, carved tiles, painted bells over the porches and windows. The center of the temple is an octagonal tent facing up. In addition, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood was built in the Russian style.
