"Former Cellmate Reveals Yefremov's Life in Prison"
Actor Mikhail Efremov has expressed a desire for an early release from prison, but his experience behind bars is not as difficult as it may seem. The celebrity is reported to have comfortable conditions that many people do not have outside of prison.
A former cellmate has revealed that the theater director sleeps on the lower bunk, which is considered a desirable spot in a barracks for 120 inmates. All the prisoners treat Efremov with respect and refer to him as "Uncle Misha," according to a report by MK.
"I can tell you this: he's there under special conditions. It's not like they're giving him special treatment, they just take extra care of him. After all, he's not an ordinary man and he was not imprisoned by ordinary people. They don't allow him to have much contact with relatives, in terms of visits or communication," said the former cellmate of Efremov.
