Among of many business cards of the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, there is one – a wonderful attraction, which is popularly called “Damn Wheel.” The Ferris wheel in Baku was installed on the new boulevard, the Bayil side, and not far from the Flag Square. The construction was rapid and took only a year. The contractor for the construction of the Ferris wheel was the Dutch company Dutch Wheels. On March 12, 2014, the Ferris wheel was opened to all residents and visitors of the capital of Azerbaijan. Ilham and Mehriban Aliyev were present at the opening ceremony.
The wheel is 60 meters high. Doesn’t matter the time of the day to enjoy the wonderful scenery of the Caspian Sea and the panorama of the city – the daytime or the evening, because watching this beauty at different times you can see completely different landscapes that are equal to each other. One cabin accommodates 8 people. Everything is done here qualitatively and solidly.
