Porridge is my favourite staple diet. I have been breakfasting on oatmeal every morning since my childhood. In Russia rolled oats come in packets with the name Hercules on them. Truer words were never spoken! Power. Vigour. Energy. These, certainly, will be filling you up in the morning. It's said that porridge digests so much longer that it is no wonder you feel well-fed and full for a longer period. However, there can be some nuisances about the product itself. Judging from my own experience in making oatmeal porridge for my breakfast, I must admit that I am extremely picky in choosing this or that product. As for me, it is important that porridge oats come whole and half flattered, just rolled, but never cut nor fine, nor mixed with other types of grains.
