EGE Writing (Project). A Sample Answer by E.I.

Today, young people tend to master different skills. Currently working on the project on what skills Zetland teenagers prefer to learn, I have found relevant statistics based on surveys. I will comment on this data in the following essay. Overall, the pie chart represents a breakdown of relative popularity of five knacks preferred by participants to learn, as a percentage. The results of the research prove the two main facts that stand out from the other ones: while "driving" is the most popular (36% ), "cooking" is the least ( 9%.) Looking closely at the statistics, I find it thought-provoking that the popularity of "speaking a foreign language" dominates over that of "cooking" more than two times(19%), compared with the 9% of the latter. In my opinion, the high rate of "learning a foreign language" is explained by the fact that teenagers appreciate the studying of languages as an avenue to broadening their horizens in learning other cultures. In my opinion, the high rate of "learning a foreign language" is explained by the fact that teenagers appreciate the studying of languages as an avenue to broadening their horizens in learning other cultures. Those are much less interested in mastering cooking, because they consider it useful only for those who aim to be chefs.

A common problem that can arise with developing new skills is that people often quit their training in that they have certain limits to what they can learn. I suggest a practical solution to this issue. People should consider only an attainable goal and become prepared to work on a new skill with full commitment.

As for me, mastering communicative skills is my most important goal. My aim is to become a counsellor. The ability to communicate with people from all walks of life is a major premise for building sound relationships.
