You are a beauty specialist and you already have a great number of clients but looking for more... All the buzz is about social media and most probably you have accounts in the main ones since long time. Are you happy with the outcome? You may already have a good and active community but it doesn't increase your income.

No matter if you own a salon or work as a freelancer.

Ladies who do mani/pedi, hair services, epilation, nutrition consultancy and similar jobs face a high competition from other same professionals. Your friends and clients could tell you- why don't you push your Instagram or Facebook so they bring you clients? You are happy to do that but how... There are two ways: free (via content) and payable (via advertising). Top social media platforms are Instargam, Youtube, Facebook, TikTok. Each of them has special features and algorithms of promotion.

Let's take Instagram first. It is not that easy to promote your services only via content but very well worth it. You start from the profile: is the information clear and describes all the services you do well and contact information is clear? You need to be brief and add emoji (the number of symbols is restricted).

Posts and stories should be done regularly and better planned in advance. You can publish the same on Facebook. Don't only post your clients' hair and nails. Try to add some informative posts: about products and tools you use (or sell), interesting locations, events, people you meet (you can have collaboration with other bloggers in your industry). Check lists are popular- if the followers find them useful they will save them, so you have higher chances that this follower sees your posts more often. Pay attention to stories, they bring a lot of views and followers so it is important to update them every 24 h.

Video is a must for social media. You can do master classes from your work routine, post them to Instagram to IGTV, Facebook and Youtube. The main equipment needed is your telephone, a tripod or even a mug on a stable surface and a small attachable microphone. The longer is the video the better, starting from 10 minutes. Create a small script before shooting and try to make it interesting and valuable for your audience.

Live sessions do bring new followers (and potential clients). If you feel shy, start doing short sessions first, have a plan what to talk about and answer all the questions only at the end of the session.

If you want to follow the trends you can try TikTok, videos should be short and creative. In the profile you can attache the link to Youtube and Instagram so the audience can learn more about your services.

All of these platforms have payable advertising as well. For Instagram and Facebook advertising is done from the same Ads page. Your Instagram account needs to be attached to the business page on Facebook. There are different aims of each campaign and you can run several at a time. As soon as you start targeted advertising, keep it running regularly.

Great if you have at least 10 posts on your page to start an advertising campaign. It will be more effective when people can go to your profile after seeing your advert and find all clear information about services you provide. Do answer regularly all the questions in direct.

Well, to sum up all of these together will boost your accounts and increase the number of followers, likes, comments and requests for your services. Go ahead, it is all in your hands!
