Hyperrealistic paintings by renowned Ukrainian artist Dmitriy Krestniy. Despite his young age and lack of art education, Dmitriy Krestniy is one of the most prominent representatives of modern Ukrainian hyperrealism. “I never studied classical drawing, but painting has always been my passion, and I remember always trying to convey the image as realistically as possible. I prefer realism as a style of art; admire the work of Michelangelo, da Vinci. For me, art is when the concept of peace is clear, the picture must be realistic,” says Krestniy. Working in the technique of hyperrealism, Dmitry honed his own unique style. His paintings are recognizable. He paints mainly female portraits equally well using charcoal, pencil, or oil. Krestniy says female images inspire him. “I am focused on femininity, beauty, and fragility of woman body and soul. For me, a woman is a most beautiful creation of God,” says the artist. Krestniy thinks that hyperrealism is a new global trend in art. “I see how
