One part of society believes that travelling abroad is beneficial, but others argue it is not necessary, with modern access to information through TV and the internet. Even though living in another country allows people to deeply be in a foreign culture, it is quite expensive and seems irrational for a certain part of society.
On the one hand, there are groups of people that are interested in travelling itself. They prefer to satisfy their curiosity utilizing all five feelings of the human being. So, they don't have to pursue some piece of knowledge or beautiful images of locations on the screen of the device. Thus, they are travelling to live in other countries; to taste domestic cuisines; to walk on the streets of the cities, and sens the scents of different places. Besides, some people admire diverse forms of nature, and they want to experience all of them, for example, to be a little creature near giant mountains; to walk among the beach of the restless ocean; or to sense unlimited freedom in steppes exists among hundreds of kilometres.
On the other hand, there are a lot of practical people who find travelling irrational. Their interests are just directed in different areas, and it is unworthy for those people to spend time and money by going to another country. Moreover, a large group of people can't afford travelling abroad because it costS a lot and they don't have sufficient time to live there. Thus, it is reasonable enough to gather necessary knowledge about countries or places from the media and the internet.
To conclude, In my opinion, travelling abroad is more beneficial because it allows me to experience new unknown forms of nature. Besides, TV and the internet in this perspective are useful just as the first step to warm curiosity at the beginning of an interest in a long way.
